Farewell, sweet Cinnamon Cat. There will always be a space on the corner of the bed by my head left waiting for you, a place in the window empty without you.
Oh! Deepest sympathies on this loss. Cinnamon Cat was beautiful. Losing a beloved pet and companion is like losing an invisible limb you never knew you had til it was gone. They take a piece of you forever, but remember they left a piece of themselves in your heart forever, as well. Chances are, that bit makes you a better person. I hope this helps in some small way in dealing with your pain of loss.
Thank you, Mary. I kept telling myself that she’d been sick for so long that the end would be easier, but it’s still terribly hard. She was one of a kind, and the bed is a much lonelier place without her. You’re right, though, that the journey with her has made me more than I was without her.
